Converting presentation files to images

Hello guys!

Do you know something to convert ppt, pptx and odp to images?

I would like to extract the slides using a Java API or a command-line program that could be invoked by my Java application.

I tried JODConverter, but it needs an OpenOffice instance to perform the conversions, and I'd like something more 'standalone'.

Another idea is to convert these files to PDF and then extract the slides as images, but I don't know how.

Do you have any idea about how could I convert these files?

Thank you very much,

- Rafael.

Hi Rafael,

You can try Aspose.Slides for Java API to convert PPT/PPTX slides to images. You can also convert the PPT/PPTX presentations to PDF using this API. Moreover, this component doesn't require you to install MS Office or OpenOffice on your development or deployment machines. Please see if this might help in your scenario.
