Hello guys,

Just wondering if any of you has ever used JavaPos?

I bougth a dot matrix printer that I want to integrate with a Swing based application written by me for a familiar business and its device specification sheet mentions something about JavaPos.

Drivers: Windows, Linux, OPOS, JavaPOS
http://printers.compart.pl/Products/DotMatrixPrinters/SP500series/tabid/411/Default.aspx

Why? What is it?

What I want to do is to provide a new functionality in my application: ticket printing. My application runs in desktop computers.

Could JavaPos help me in some way? Is still used? I entered to the JavaPos web paged and it looks forgotten.

What are the main differences between the JavaPos API and the Java 2D printing API? JavaPos is intended to provide the same that Java 2D printing?

I really appreciate any help

Best Regards
