why Compile time error when trying to us static with Synchronized ?

The following code produces an unpredictable result so i tried to use Synchronized with static in sleep method . Due to this i am getting compile time error saying "
<identifier expected".
Here's the code


any one kindly explain this to me.

You can always use static with synchronized, the error what you are getting is a typing error. S in synchronized should be in lower case.
