Hi,
I need help with ssl certificates on Tomcat 6. I have a linux server that has the ssl setup already that was configured/installed by a previous system administrator. I'm trying to take up the reins and with very little system admin knowledge, I have nothing but what already exists on the original server. Is there a way to export the certificates and keys from one server to another?
There are three certificates that were installed on the original server, two of which I would like to get onto the new server. I know there is an export keytool command that apparently I can use to gain the certificates but do I need to get a key also? I see that there are some .key files that based on their names seem to correlate with the certificates that are listed when I do a keytool -list on the keystore cacerts. Do I just copy those key files over to the other server? I'm sure it's probably more complicated then doing a scp of the key files to the my new server.
I have been reading up on documentation but the knowledge is coming slower than the timeline.
Thanks so much for any assistance.
