Statistical data analysis + multithreading. Which language to use?

Hi,

I'm starting to work in a project in which we will need to run statistical analysis in a huge amount of data and develop parallel algorithms.

The languages we are willing to deal with are: python, c++ and java.

Which language do you guys suggest? Which of these has a good framework with statistical tools? Which would be better in terms of performance and fast development?

Thanks.

I suggest you use R - it is very adept at statistical analysis.

Thanks. Can I develop in parallel with R?

Do you mean parallel analysis? Or are you asking about multi-threading?

R can to parallel analysis - check the docs.

If you mean multi-threading, see this: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/R-and-Multi-threading-td869275.html
