I passed the OCPJP 6 two days before with 84%. Now i am planning to take an exam of Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 JavaServer Pages and Servlet Developer. I looked at the books i found two books, on head first servlet and asp second edition and the other one is scwcd exam study kit by Haumart Deshmukh. But these are old for j2ee 5. But i am preparing for j2ee 6. Kindly guide are these books enough or there is any other book. And i am planning to take a exam in month. Kindly guide is one month is enough. Looking forward for your replies.
Congrats for passing OCPJP 6.
Unfortunately these 2 books are not enough to prepare for the 6-th versiono of the exam. You can check here for more info.
If you want to prepare fof the new exam you have to study directly from the specifications - at least for the new material:
- web fragments
- asynchronous servlets/processing
- programmatic declarations
Most of the people that are preparing for the new exam first learn from the FH Servlets and JSP book and then refer to the Servlet 3.0 specification.
