Hello,

Could you please tell me how to have Glassfish on Eclipse 3.6.

There is no Glassfish server option when I go to Server-New though it shows Tomcat, Jboss, Oracle etc.

I tried to install it through install new software - Work with :- http://ajax.dev.java.net/eclipse.
After that it shows me Glassfish java ee 5 & 6 support version 1.0.54 , but this gives me following error :-
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: GlassFish Java EE 5, Java EE 6 1.0.54 (com.sun.enterprise.jst.server.sunappsrv.feature.feature.group 1.0.54)
Missing requirement: GlassFish Java EE 5, Java EE 6 1.0.54 (com.sun.enterprise.jst.server.sunappsrv.feature.feature.group 1.0.54) requires 'org.eclipse.platform.feature.group [3.5.0,3.6.0)' but it could not be found

I tried again using Eclipse Marketplace - Glassfish java ee app server plugin for Eclipse. It started installing Glassfish and asked me for restart.
Now after restart I don't see any change or a new type in server view.

When I go back to Marketplace I see the above plugin shows Uninstall button(earlier Install button).
It shows that 'Oracle GlassFish server Tools' is installed.

So what is the next step in the above procedure or is there any other alternative?

One more thing, I've the Glassfish v3.1 installed on my C drive.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Pramod

I've solved it by downloading glassfish 3.01 during plugin installation. it is around 80MB in size.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
