calling javascript function through onclick present on checkbox

When i call onclick through the checkbox the function gets called but only the first alert present in the beginning of the function is being called and nothing else is executing. The help is appreciated.



and my js function


only in loaddata alert is being executed. nothing else.

are you sure that you can use this jsp tags in javascript first ensure that...and try to do all you your coding in servlet not in jsp or in javascript ..if its unavoidable than only write code in jsp...

First of all dont use scriptlets use EL and JSTL instead..
next read This Post, it has some good comments about mixing JSTL or EL with javascript, also check the view source of your generated page to see if there is any javascript error in the function loadData().
