JiBX schema-codegen with xml schema import

I have two separate projects. Each project contains a schema file from which the maven-jibx-plugin uses the schema-codegen goal to generate the java code.

Project A contains a schema entry for classes ALPHA and BETA.
Project B contains a schema entry for class DELTA. DELTA requires an instance of ALPHA and imports the external XSD as required.

The problem I have is that Project B generates both DELTA, ALPHA and BETA instead of the desired DELTA. I understand this is likely the default behavior of the maven-jibx-plugin. Anyone have an idea of how to configure the plugin to only generate the local schemas and not the included schemas?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
