Hi, guys I am new in android but I am really interesting in android. I would to do my thesis in android GPS and using web service. do you have any idea about this or advice.

Oh Yeah i do, The exact term for your thesis would be Location Aware Applications and there is a great deal of literature available for it on the net and there is a whole book for it written by Richard Ferraro, Murat Aktihanoglu published by Manning.I am sure this helps

Second, please show some effort. Zoheb has given you a good direction to go in. Have you done any work on your thesis? Do you have any specific questions or code to share?

OK. Actually, I did not specify specific Mobile Platform for my thesis. I want to do it on Android. I did some research about LBS and I found that location based system does not use web service. It does provide service but Web service which we know the benefit of web service. My idea is to integrate the LBS with SOA. So I though you are more experienced in this area I need your opinion and advice.

Akram we have provided the necessary advice and direction to you in order to get started and let me say this the first steps are always the hardest, You however are supposed to make the journey.So its upto you now to research the topic look at the book i suggested written by people who are great at this subject.Go trough this forum in order to learn about android and if you do not know java then there is a forum for it right here.

Yes, Thank you guys, for your help. It was very helpful. Now, I am reading the book you advised me. Actually, I have skills in both Android and Java. but you once it comes to write such kind of things. I found it a bit complicated. I really appreciated your effort.
