LocalTransactionException during and after Oracle database shutdown.

I have a JSF bean that creates a stateful session bean. The session bean has 2 dependency injected @Resources of DataSources that point to 2 different oracle databases and does nothing more than return a Connection object. Everything works fine until database 1 has its nightly shutdown. If I try to access my JSF application and connect to database 1 I get an exception. However, even after providing a different parameter so that my application connects to database 2 I still get the same exception even though database 2 never went down. I have no experience with transactions and this appears to be a transaction error. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
