Regarding scjp

Hello every one,am new to java ranch and i want to know few things about "SCJP". Am planning to give scjp exam,a couple of days back i came to know that java sdk 7 has been launched.Please tell me that what type of exam i have to go for(i.e.., scjp 6 or scjp +).How many months of preparation do i need,to give the exam.

Hi, SDK 1.7 is launched, it doesn't mean 1.7 certification exam is available, for this moment OCPJP 1.6 is available, you can prepare for it, later on you can upgrade it with 1.7 anytime.How much time it'll take it's up to you. You've to sound study of "SCJP 1.6 Study Guide by K&B" and after that clear lots of mock tests until you don't feel confidence to face real exam.best of luck

yes firstly you should go through the book mention above, after that for some online mock test,
providing you some useful link, but try only after reading book for some days.

Well thank you friends,Am reading k.Mughal & Rolf,doesn't that book is sufficient or do i have to go for Kathy & Bates also...
