Hi, "ranchers", I have take my essay exam (OCMJD 2/2) the past July, and today I have received a e-mail from ITS-Suport, that says:

"Good news! You have a test score entered at http://www.pearsonvue.com/oracle for an Oracle Master Certification exam. Please follow the link to your account on the Pearson VUE system to view your test score. "

So when I went to my account in Pearson VUE, nothing! , somebody received a similar e-mail?, now I am waiting for PearsonVUE support response because the only thing in that I can Think is view any change in my history at Pearson VUE

Regars and thanks for share

Hi,

same problem here (mail received last week). I wrote an email to both pearson vue and developer-submit_US@oracle.com and they responded that they "are checking on this ..."
I am afraid the only thing we can do is just waiiting.

Being in the same situation as you guys, I tried to contact Pearson support (using the form that they have on their site). They responded by changing my account access details (no big deal) and sending me an attachment of my score report, which says... exactly what I got after I finished the essay almost a month ago - a score report that says:Your essay has been received and will now be matched with your assignment for final grading. The grading process can take 4-6 weeks [........]. I believe we all have seen that after we finish the essay exam.

Something is going wrong obviously. Lets be patient a little bit more and wait until they fix it.

I have the same situation (and posted this by mistake into the Architect certification area).

I went today to the certview address at oracle and saw that my Assignment status is in the status PASS and my Essay Exam is in TAKEN. Two days ago I could only see the Essay Exam in the table. Hopefully the results email from Oracle will clarify this situation.

Indeed, I can see the same in my certview account. It is about 48 hours after the mail from ITS support, so it seems that the scores are ready from Pearson but we can't see them. Alin, do you see in your Certification History at certview the Developer exam (as I do) - which means that we have passed it? If so, shouldn't the Essay Exam be marked as PASS instead of TAKEN? Or we shouldn't care and just celebrate for passing the exam?

Hi guys,

first of all thanks for the replies because I did not even know about sth like Oracle Certview (How could I miss that ?).

I managed to login and my account has been successfully verified. I have the same situation: I went to the Certification Status and I can see the following information:
  • Java Standard Edition 6 Developer Certified Master Essay Exam (Step 2 of 2) - TAKEN
  • Java Standard Edition 6 Developer Certified Master Assignment(T1) - PASS

  • Hopefully an email with the confirmation will come soon ...

    One more thing,

I went to the Certification Status -> Success Kit Status and I can see the following:
  • 1st shipment 23-SEP-11 Oracle Certified Master, Java Se6 Developer, MY_ADDRESS
  • 23-SEP is one day after I received the GOOD NEWS ! email.

Hm, so maybe it time for the celebration ?

I can see that too in my certview account - the shipment date is also one day after I received the mail from ITS. I don't think that they would send us anything if we had failed. So I guess we can start celebrating!

    Hi

I uploaded my assignment 10-AUG and took my essay exam 12-AUG.
In the mean time I received an email that it could take longer than initially said(4-6 weeks) to grade it. 13 weeks ? It looks they got big mess in their papers.

It seems that more people that usual are taking the exam due to the change in the examination process. This seems to explain the delay in the gradings.

    Hello,

I wrote again to the developer-submit_US@oracle.com just to make sure I passed the exam.
In the email I put all the information about both the CertView and Pearson VUE details (like TAKEN/PASS etc ... we wrote about earlier in this thread) and here is the answer I had received an hour ago:

Our records indicate that you have passed and earned your Oracle Certified Master, Java Se6 Developer credentials. The formal results mail will be sent out in a day or two.

Ten minutes later the following mail arrived:

    Hi Rafal,
Congratulations! You have passed the Oracle Certified Master, Java SE6 Developer certification. You are among the elite 1% of certified Java professionals who have gone on to achieve the Oracle Certified Master, Java SE6 Developer certification. You have received a passing score. Passing grades do not receive a score, just the pass. A failing grade will receive section level scoring so that a candidate may isolate the area of failure and resubmit their assignment. Numeric scores are only provided on failures.

It would be nice to know which part of my solution was the worst one but it does not have any influence on how happy I am.

    Hi,

I did the essay exam at June 28th, and didn't receive any answer from them. So i send an e-mail to them asking about how many time more i need to wait. And they answered me to wait more 4 weeks . I don't know how they organize their queues .

    Never give up!

    Cheers for the info John.

If it takes the same length to mark mine I have another 2 weeks to wait then

That'll be 12 weeks, twice as long as they said it would take
