Weird Grading System?

Hi All,

I have uploaded my assignment (factory homes) on 15th july and still waiting for my result.
But i can see in this forum that many had got the result even within 2 weeks and submitted after july 15th.
Anyone please explain what sort of grading system is this.

The grading system obviously does not obey the FIFO queue rule.

Have you emailed Oracle? When I was waiting for my result they answered within a couple days giving me an estimated time to expect it...

I guess we all will get our results faster if we stop emailing them

I may sound negative by saying this, but its NOT to discourage anyone waiting like me......

Is oracle blocking results for those who failed so as to avoid people resubmitting and again waiting for long time to get the result? as they are already received so much of first time submission and they need to assess all those???

am i having a point?

They should follow FIFO queue rule. I know it's really frustrating to wake up every morning for an email which is not coming for weeks-i feel sorry for you folks but during Feb/Mar -it was bit quicker...within 3-4 weeks i got the results.
Somebody from Oracle should visit the forum and provide some clarification. I am seeing a lot of chaos in the last 4-6 months.

Personally I suspect that there are humans involved. And some humans work faster than others in grading submissions.

I think it is reasonable to assume that the system is overloaded with SCEA and SCJD assignments being submitted right now. Even if these submissions are being evenly distributed to all assessment centers on a FIFO basis, it is quite possible that any given assignment might get queued up for a while if someone is sick or on vacation.

So two plausible explanations for why some people may get faster results than others. I am sure we could find more potential explanations if we tried.

That doesn't make sense to me. In fact the opposite would make more sense - if you have not looked at a submission within the SLA, just fail them, and restart the clock. The fact that this is not happening is a good indication that they are behaving honorably.

It now behaves more like a stack LIFO to me

If thats the case, its oracle's responsibility to manage these and transfer assignments to somebody else (who can assess assignment submitted just 12 days back and come up with a result) and produce result (whatever it is) for people who are waiting for long time.

If something like SLA is maintained, (i think it should be 6-8 weeks as they mentioned), then when it exceeds, if they would have checked with people/center involved, there wont be anybody now who is waiting for more than 12 weeks (twice the SLA).... but thats not the case here......

Another reason could be(guessing...) due to transition from Promteric to Pearson. Those who have used Transition voucher to upload the assignment may have been delayed.
I had used a special transition voucher that allowed me to upload the assignment jar and then schedule essay in pearson. Hmm..I had done my assignment on June 18th..lets see...

Tip: Oracle could make an assignment about a software company that has a certification program and contract with you as an architect to deal with an increasing number of anxious aspirants pressing despairingly F5 key on company's website. SLA of e-mail server is on top risk and you must provide a very strong mitigation to deal with thousands of angry e-mails per day.

Good ideas would come.

Finally I've received the final result. It took Oracle almost three months to grade my work. More details here http://www.coderanch.com/t/554257/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/Passed-SCEA-OCMJEA

When i see in this forum that many had got the result even within 2 weeks after their submission and people submitted after july 15th (the day i submitted ) also got the result, my guess about "oracle blocking/delaying in announcing FAILURE results" getting stronger.....

It may sound negative... but its just a guess....
