sorrry, if i'm not at the right post, cause i really need help...
i'm using jasperreport and i really need help please, when i print at dot matrix (lx-300II), the letters are not spacing properly, i mean every letter of the words sticking each other, unlike on inkjet it prints normally. i also tried the font which the dot matrix has, still the same.
what should i do? thanks in advance.

That is far too difficult a question for “beginning”, so I shall move it. Not sure where is best, maybe “general computing”?

ok, thanks. as long as it can be answered. i'm still searching for the possibilities.
Is Jasper Reports the only app that is causing this problem? What happens when other apps print to that printer?
If all apps have that problem, then I would suspect the printer driver. If only Jasper Reports has the issue, then you might need the Jasper team to look at the issue.
I have uses Jasper quite a lot and one thing that we have learned over the years is that when using a LFP such as the Epson LX-300+II of similar, the font and character tables that are used makes a huge impact.
If you use one of the ISO-charsets, such as the ISO Latin 1 in Jasper and the printer is set to say PC 437 or something similar, then you might get that behavior.

sorry for late reply, i got a fever, and i found the solution. i tried to download the latest jasperreports library and ireport, and it print properly on dot matrix.
