Sorry if this doesn't belong here, its not a Java question - I put my first ever post (technically a reply) up yesterday, and there was some useful stuff for me in that post, but now its gone...
But when I click it I get "The topic you are trying to see does not exist."
:-(
I don't mean to complain but I like the look of this place, and I want to use it without worrying if my posts will disappear.
On an unrelated note, I just noticed that my sleeve has been hanging in my dinner the whole time I've been typing this. Just to let you know the calibre of individual you're dealing with.
Questions about the ranch and ranch policies belong here, in the "Ranch Office" forum. I have moved it.
I'm not sure what happend to your post. It is possible the entire thread got deleted for a number of reasons - off topic, someone was 'not nice', or various other reasons. I do not know the specifics of the thread you posted in, but deletion of posts/threads is actually rather rare. Any time it is done, there is a discussion among the moderators (although not all mods participate in every discussion)
The whole point of our forum is that the discussions are here to be searched in the future, so if it was deleted, I'm sure there was a good reason.
I hope this first experience doesn't turn you off to our site. We really do try very hard to be nice and treat everyone with respect.
