Hi ,
I have a j2ee application (job site) built using struts2 , JSP & Ocale data source running on tomcat.

Its deployed on my local machine running linux . I want to register this application as an e-commerce site (like timesjob or naukri.com)
my questions are:

1) do I need to buy IBM or HP servers to host this application or cannot I make my desktop machine as server with some high-speed internet?
2) how much speed the internet connection should be
3) I want to configure this to only india wide...I meant when someone googles it ..it should not be searched outside of india.
4) I want to integrate e-payment option to create an account for employers and recruiters..to whom should I contact to get banking payment gateways integrated?

If this is not a right forum to ask this..can please someone help me to find a proper forum...

Thanks in advace...

You can, in fact, I do, but my site is only for my family to share pictures. If you expect paying customers, you'll want to put the site at a professional host who guarantees uptime and throughput. Also, be aware that consumer-grade ISP's usually have end user agreements that say you cannot run host services and allow them to cut you off without notice at any time.

That depends on how big your pages and images are, and how many concurrent connections you have.

I'm not sure that can be done.

A credit card processor like Skipjack or Chase (two that I've used for work).

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
