Dynamic Javascript Generation/Delivery

Hi Guys,

Simple question. I'm trying to do two things;

1) I would like to perform some functions in a controller when a html page requests a piece of javascript i.e. when the page has an important declaration like so;

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/toast.js">
</script>

2) I would like to dynamically generate some javascript from a spring mvc project.

What would be the best to do this?
