Hi,

I know there is a certification for Websphere Application Server. I found lot of IBM Redbooks to prepare for it, but not sure if they are the correct resources.

Could someone let me know the materials that i need to prepare from and also the exam code.

WAS 7.0 certification is simple.

search for this "IBM-WASv7-Cert-Study-Guide-000-377.pdf" in internet. plus you need some hands on experience with WAS7.0

I read this and gone through few questions over net.

Hi Raja,

Thanks for the response.

The pdf seems to be useful. Can you suggest any further materials.

Something on the lines of HeadFirst which explains concepts in depth.

Also i went through red books but that seems to be very vast and am not sure if it pertains to what is covered in the certification.

Ashwin,
Are you looking for RAD certificaion or Application Server certification? I think, they both are far apart from one another.

Akhilesh,

Could you tell me the difference between two.

Could suggest which one to take up and prepare for. I have 2+ exp with SCWCD. I work on Websphere Application Server.

It depends what you want to do ahead? If you are interested in Managing/configuring/handling deployments then you should look for an App Server Certification. If Java/J2EE development(coding/programming) is what you are focusing on then RAD certification is on you can look for. You can check details on IBM pages. I found the following links

http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/certs/ws_index.shtml
