I came to South africa for a data migration project and my role is on the project was as a code analyst...now the scope of the project is now change and now they are going with manual migration. Now for the new allocation they are putting me in CRM solution tool known as ciboodle..? my past experince is with javaj2ee on BFSI domain. Will you guys suggest me on following quesries: is it fine for me to go with this option or what sould i do for avoid it. How's career in ciboodle as they told me there are only few people know this tool.. Please guide me I am damn confuse
One doesn't have a "career" in a specific technology. Technology changes to often. You mean "what will ciboodle do to my career path." I think it depends on how long you spend on it. 3-12 months lets you learn something new. Many years pigeonholes you.
It is hard for anyone to predict the future for any given technology. Learning a niche can certainly help you fill requirements that are hard for others to fit into. But it can also put you out of touch with technologies that are more common.
