Path setting for Glassfish Installation

I will apologize first. I am brand new to Java and will probably have alot of questions.
I installed the latest SDK. It installed in a glassfish3 directory. My Java book says to set my path variables to define where my java bin folder is. I see 3 bin folders, one in glassfish3, one in the glassfish subdirectory, and one in the javadb subdirectory. Which directory should the path point to ? Thanks.

Probably none of them. To pick up Java™, you usually look in Program Files\Java (Windows) or wherever you installed it if not using Windows.

And welcome to the Ranch
