visual sorcesafe eclipse plugin

with my job I have to use visual source safe, (years of data, no chance of migrating away).
so I went to investigate about an eclipse plugin, and found only 1 but it doesn't work with 64 bit eclipse or any newer version of eclipse the 3.3 (I think)

So i have set myself up a home project to get this plug-in working.
My question is this...
is there anywhere I can just get a sourcesafe front end from to test the plugin is working from home (obv. I am not going to pay for a copy at home for this project)

I thought that the VSS client license was per client user, not per connection. Thus if you have a license that allows you to connect to VSS from your work PC, you should be able to use that same license from your home PC (provided you are using the same user id to connect to VSS). Ages ago when I was forced to use VSS I recall using only a single license and connection from multiple machines.
