Hi guys,

enovironment: jsp, mysql, connection pool.

when i was running my java web application in too many windows like over 40 windows open , i got "The connection has timed out" error. even though in my glassfish i reload application, i still got "The connection was reset". The only way to make it work is to kill glassfish and restart it.

i have been having this problem for days, please give me some suggestions.

Hi Jim

Are you closing your jdbc connections ?
I'm thinking the pool has too few connections available or the connections are not returned to the pool (and your app times out wating for a connection to become available).

Cheers

thank you for your suggestion, i already tried it, but it does not work. by the way, when i used jprofiler to monitor the status of the web application, i notice that my application is dead when some threads are blocked (like 5 - 6 threads) while i opened over 10 windows. however, in thread pool : http-thread-pool of my glassfish, if i configure idle timeout from 900s to 60s, i will be able to open more windows like 40 before my applications dies.
