I'm using a jasper report to generate a report using my this i'm trying to compile and convert this jasper report to a pdf file...but i'm getting the error at run time like this...
Exception in thread "main" net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Errors were encountered when compiling report expressions class file: inconvertible types
found : java.lang.Float
required: java.lang.String
value = (java.lang.String)(((java.lang.Float)field_amountpaid.getValue())); //$JR_EXPR_ID=10$
^ inconvertible types
found : java.sql.Date
required: java.lang.String
value = (java.lang.String)(((java.sql.Date)field_date.getValue())); //$JR_EXPR_ID=11$

Here i used the mysql database....the Float value is amountpaid and Date value is date in my database....
This is the code i used here...actually i got this from the site
