PortalEnvironment implementation in Liferay?

Hey all,
I'm working on (another) custom extension for logging into Liferay using an SSO provider and their API requires a PortalEnvironment object to be passed in.
Problem is, I can't seem to find an implementation for Environment or PortalEnvironment anywhere in the Liferay source.
Is my search-fu that bad? Am I just missing something? Will I need to implement it myself?
Has anyone here done so?
