I wanted to get started on analyzing my java code for performance tuning. Can anyone recommend me any books/links/blogs that can help me get started on this topic.

Google is your friend. I'd start with "Java performance tuning" if I were you.

There's a book- "Java Performance" by Charlie Hunt; Binu John released recently, you might find it helpful.
