Hashing in depth..!!

Hi Guys ,
I was going through collection and in that I was sply going through Hashing section I have done lot of googling on that , Please if you guys could guide me a lot in hashing and it internals ,I want to study it in depth...!!! Thanks in advance..!!

Well, you could start here; and if you really want to know about the internals as far as Java is concerned, the source code for HashMap and HashSet are freely available. I'm not sure how much it will help you though - it's much more important to know how (and why) to generate good hashes than understanding the exact mechanics of the classes.

Niklaus Wirth's classic text book Algorithms and Data Structures is free and provides a good introduction to hashing.
