Can anyone help me trace where the actual password authentication is done in this code?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but the actual check most likely occurs during the "session.connect()" call. It wouldn't make sense to proceed after that if the credentials were incorrect. You can test that by providing incorrect credentials, and then to see what happens - meaning, in which line of code you're getting an exception.
