I had finished scjp 1.4 in the year 2009. Now I would want to write OCM/SCJD. Do I need to write another SCJP to complete the OCM requirement or I can straight away take project from oracle website ? What will be the best book to refer about the OCM/SCJD ?

Any version of SCJP is ok as pre-requisite for the OCMJD. But don't forget you also need to take a mandatory course nowadays.

For me the best book is SCJD Exam with J2SE 5 (i used it myself).

Thanks for your reply. But I have one more question unanswered, " Do I need to write another SCJP, since I had cleared that in 2009".

Just repeating the 1st sentence of my previous post: Any version of SCJP is ok as pre-requisite for the OCMJD.

No. The SCJP you already have can do it.

Regarding the material, you can also take a look here. A lot of people have been using this paper and completing this certification successfully.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
