Hello folks,
As a beginner in Java, I have read the Head First Java book, followed by the Java SE 1.6 tutorials/documentation on the Oracle website.
However, I would want to learn Java at a greater depth to have a better understanding about JVM and Java overall.
Can anyone suggest me a good book / books to read ?
I eventually plan to take up the Sun certification.
Thank you to everyone who reads this and responds.

Horstmann and Cornell is a favourite of mine, though my copy is a bit old now (2005).
Java Puzzlers by Bloch and Gafter
Effective Java by Bloch
Java Concurrency in Practice by Goetz, Bloch, etc.
Have you tried our book review pages?
