and for this

Platform.startup( engineConfig );

and

//create factory and create birt engine
IReportEngineFactory factory = (IReportEngineFactory) Platform
.createFactoryObject( IReportEngineFactory.EXTENSION_REPORT_ENGINE_FACTORY);
IReportEngine birtEngine = factory.createReportEngine( engineConfig);
