Old SCJP Voucher

Hello all,

This is my first post after a long time. I was a devout java programmer at the beginning of my career but then I changed technologies...
I've got as a gift from a friend a voucher for the SCJP 6.0 exam. It expires on 31 Jan 2012.
My problem is that from what I see the exam has changed somewhat.
1. It's not administered by Prometric anymore. Pearson are the new exam watchdogs.
2. Do I need to take any of courses from Oracle before taking the exam? I don't need the courses(they are also expensive), I just wanna take the exam. The information on the Oracle site is a real mumbo-jumbo, if you can link me to where it says how it is, it would be perfect...
3. Is the old voucher still good? I've registered on Pearson but I'm still waiting for the user and pass.(I guess this is going to be the way that I see if the voucher still works and if I need anything else besides it...)

Cordially yours,

nevermind question 2. I found the answer after some careful reading: link
So the courses are just 'Recommended' and not mandatory for the Professional exam. The Developer and Master exams on the other hand require the (paid) Oracle training courses.

I'm still waiting for Pearson to give me credentials so I can see the answer for no. 3...

LE: the old voucher is still good! I got -300 bucks from it!
I agree. Here's the link:
