weblogic workshop generated .ear file working in weblogic8.1 needs to upgrade to weblogic11g. HELP

I have a .ear built throurgh weblogic workshop 8.1 long back and the app is running in Prod env currently. Now we have to upgrade our app(i.e. .ear file) to weblogic 11g. The problem here is we don't have a source code now. all that we have is the deployed .ear file.
When we try to deploy the .ear file straight away to weblogic 11g it is giving several ClassNotFoundExceptions. Please help me if you know any procedure to upgrade and deploy to wl11g .
