Hi all,

I have recently joined an Indian MNC as tech lead and i have been put in a product(banking domain) on tool customization. I was told it will involve working in core java,JSP,Servlets ONLY.
There will not be any framework like Struts,Spring etc.. I am really worried about this...
I have 7.5 years of experience as of now..

My queries are:

1. Suppose if i quit this company say after 1.5 yrs - my total exp will be 9 yrs.. - So companies will be taking me for Project Manager post, right?
2. If interviewed for the post of Proj Manager post,i will be interviewed more on my management skills rather than on tech skills,i hope...

I am really confused whether i can continue with this position, or whether i have to go back to J2EE frameworks like Spring,hibernate...
Request for your valuable comments..

Thanks a lot for your time

Assumption #2 seems dangerous. When I interview people, I expect people to be good at what they say they did. If it is core Java that's fine. But if you don't have management experience, I'm weighting your tech skills/experience a lot more.
