studying core and advanced java simultaneously

I have a basic knowledge of core java.
now i want to study complete core java and servlet and jsp from headfirst simultaneously.
is it right to do this and please give me some studying tips so that master every concept.

If you have basic knowledge on core java then, please go to servlets and practice more and more on your system to master every concept.

I study 2 or 3 different subjects simultaneously to get refresh and avoid boring.
