The above example outputs 123.456. Is it not supposed to parse a string that can be converted to a number?
In what situation will a parseException be generated?

Have you read the documentation for NumberFormat?


The mind is a strange and wonderful thing. I'm not sure that it will ever be able to figure itself out, everything else, maybe. From the atom to the universe, everything, except itself.
