TOMCAT Doubt

hi every one..

my problem is.. when ever the tomcat is not running.. and when i run the application or start upbatch file..
at last it is saying
"server starts up in 765s" like that..

and whenever the tomcat server is running and when i try to open that application..
atlast it is saying
"pausing ----------- and so on" and disappearing.. so i cant tell you exactly..

can you please tell me why this happens??
