I sat the exam today and passed with an 81% score. To be honest i am quite surprised at that score as i was expecting to get between 70%-75%.
There were no questions on Serialisation but there was a question on Notify() which i thought was also removed. I would say there was at least one or more questions from every topic in the K&B book (Except serialisation). There was no question that was not covered in the book. My only advice is that the K&B book is the only book you need. Don't bother with anything else. It has all the topics you need for the exam and probably a bit more. I think if you understand every topic in the book you should be able to pass the exam with flying colors.
I am planning to do the Web Components exam next. I have not investigated it yet but i am hoping to sit the exam 3 months from now. Do you guys it is possible? The only problem is that i only get about 2 hrs a day for the revision and the whole weekend. Do you think that is stretching it?
I actually think that i will do better on the web components exam than the core java one. The reason being that i do get involved (on my day job) in developing web application using jsp/struts/servlets etc but not on a daily basis. Do you guys think 3 months is possible?
Thank you everyone who has helped. I wouldn't have been able to pass without the help of guys here. I tried my best to say thank you on every response. I apologise if i forgot to do that on any of the questions i posted.

Congratulations!
As far as three months goes? Is that the amount of time you have to study, or the amount of experience you have? If you study hard, you can do it. You did OCPJP didn't you?
