Can you get the username of a windows authenticated web app user in tomcat?

If a .net web app called a
web app, could the java web app find out the username of the user it was called by?
I can assume the two apps are running on the same domain. The two apps could both be in IIS in theory, one pure .net, the other IIS and
(if that helps). I can't assume the browser is IE
