Options besides SCEA/OCMJEA

I was considering SCEA (or OCMJEA as Oracle likes to call it), but as i have found out - Oracle has made it way too expensive now to even consider it. Besides - I don't think any of those courses add any value to me. So what are the alternative, reputed architect certificates that one can consider? I am not keen on product specific certificates such as the ones IBM offers?
Any other internationally respected architect certification that you can recommend?

The only thing that comes to my mind is IBM's UML exams - I think there are 3 or 4 levels and I don't think this is linked to their products. I also remember it covers UML + OOAD.

I do not know a lot about TOGAF. TOGAF certification was an alternative certification that people were suggesting when I was deciding whether or not to get OCMJEA certified.
OCMJEA is a certification which is mostly centred around architecting your solution around JEE though they do claim that it does not need to be.
In contrast, TOGAF is a generic enterprise architectural approach not specific to a technology. You can find out more about TOGAF here
Its definitely not like comparing apple to apple. But you know, if architect certification is what one is interested in then....
I opted for OCMJEA just because I am a JEE professional and I still had time before the useless mandatory training came into effect.

Thanks a lot, but both discussions look bit dated! I mean first one is 208 thread & second one is 2010. Is it still true that TOGAF is valid only for 2 years? They seem to have 2 step process now.
