So I am in the process of creating a dice game. I have the algorithms and everything set up, and I am building the gui and such now. The thing is, at one point I want to do 3D Dice and get pretty serious about it. Recently I have been looking into Java FX, and it seems to have a very powerful graphics/3D engine. Now I could use FX, or I could just use normal SE and Open GL. Which would be easier to do? I have done SOME Open GL, but haven't really done anything with FX(I have a tutorial that has all the codes and shows a bunch of really awesome examples). Since JavaFX 2.0 is relatively new(Oct 2011), I believe that it is still very new, but at the same time it seems amazingly powerful. It seems like it has everything you would need built in(Even the Open GL stuff). Open GL and Java were both created by Sun, so I wonder how FX is compared....
Any information would be appreciated!!!
