In-line styles

I read that in-line styles will be phased out in upcoming browsers, is that true? Apparently the strict use of ids and classes will be used with CSS. I always liked in-line styles and wish they'd keep them around. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

I have heard nothing about them being phased out in the near term.

Personally, I abhor inline styles. The make the markup less flexible and make it hard to separate structure from style.
