Hello Mr. James Williams, welcome to the Ranch, Hope you to get the kick out of our portal !, I consider myself member of here, well I'm using HTML3, I am looking forward to move to HTML5, but what scares me and many many other developers, that HTML5 are not fully supported by all vendors, Firefox & IE, so on, I wonder when all vendors hit 475 points, so that people could be able to count up on it, I know such question should be answered by vendors owners, for they are supposed to be working on upgrading their browsers and know the ballpark time before they could upgrade their browsers, I can't get to them after all, I can't wait either, so perhaps you could answer my question, thanks anyway, hope your book takes off .

Hmmm...

Well, while it *is* a good question, I'm not sure that there is a "good" answer... Certainly not a simple one!

At this time, we are still working with a Working Draft of the HTML5 spec. And, most vendors don't want to commit a lot of resources to supporting it if it may change and require a bunch more resources to redo what they already have done to support what ever might be released as the Final Spec for HTML5.

And, if I can pick just one page from history to show just how slow some vendors can be about properly supporting certain specs for the web, take a look at this long-standing bug for Firefox.

HTH, though I am sure that's not what you were hoping to hear/read.
