Jenkins - Each job 'Workspace' folder structure differ from windows 7 to Windows XP.

Hi All,
I have installed jenkins 1.424.1 on both windows 7 and Windows XP.The workspace folder structure differs from each other.
On windows XP,
<JENKINS_HOME>/jobs/job1/workspace
<JENKINS_HOME>/jobs/job1/builds
On windows 7,
<JENKINS_HOME>/jobs/job1/builds
<JENKINS_HOME>/workspace/job1/
Any idea why this change?
