Questions on Lift

1) What applications are suitable for Lift in Scala compared to other web frameworks in Scala or Java?
2) Yammer are moving from Scala to Java. How easy or possible for existing projects from one to Lift or vice versa?
3) Is there any framework suggested to use with Lift (e.g. Spring with Hibernate in Java)?

Thanks

This is interesting. I remember that there were a few concerns which Yammer had raised regarding Scala, I cant recall them though. Would like to have author's view on this.

And the The Guardian are switching from Java to Scala.
AFAIR (R == remember), Yammer major complaints were about how some of high abstraction of Scala could effect performance here and there. So maybe Scala suits Guardian's business and Java suits Yammer's business.
