This is something that gives mixed response on the internet.
Is Struts MVC or Front Controller?

Does it have to be one or the other? I say both.

BTW, I do not understand why there are so many posts that try to force a framework into a pattern. Struts is Struts. It is influenced by various patterns and practices but it is not some textbook implementation of any patterns.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
