May I know how good it is to use html:hidden to use very often in order to show the entered data in the privious pages as after clicking the my own back button implemented using struts.

There's nothing wrong with using this technique to transfer information from one page to the next as long as you remember the following:
  • Never use it for sensitive information such as a credit card number or a price. It can be read by anyone who knows how to use the "view source" function and it can also be "spoofed", meaning someone could create a copy-cat HTML page and substitue the correct data with incorrect data.
  • Putting a huge amount of data in hidden fields is going to slow down the response time as all that data has to go back and forth over the network.
