Disadvantages of spring annotations

can somebody outline the disadvantages of spring annotations compared to declaring it in the XML file

These aren't too many disadvantages of annotations over XML and vice versa.

Usually selecting one over the other is just a matter of what the team is comfortable with.

There are a few limitation to what annotation and configuration classes can do - for which you might have fall back on XML.
