I took the Associate Exam for Java 7 a couple months ago (the 1Z0-803). Now I want to take the SCJPtest for Java 7 (1Z0-804) but I suppose it's not out yet? Anyway, I couldn't find it in the listing. So I think I will settle for the Java Standard Edition 6 Programmer Certified Professional Exam (1Z0-851). But when I looked at the price, it says 32,600 yen (about $400 at the current exchange rate).
When I took the 1Z0-803 I distinctively remember that it did not cost nearly that much. It was about 4,000 yen. But when I looked at the price of that exam just now, it says $300 (about 24,000 yen). What is going on? Why is the 1Z0-803 eight times as much as it was in December? Is the 1Z0-851 the SCJP for Java 6?

You have taken OCA Java SE 7 during BETA stage. The actual certification cost after beta stage will be higher than this price.
You can try OCP Java SE 7 BETA exam to avail BETA stage price benefits. Note that there is no prerequisite for OCPJP till Java SE 6, you need to complete OCAJP to take OCPJP from Java SE 7 onwards.
Since you already completed OCA Java SE 7 it is better to take OCP Java SE 7 .
