Hi Faiz,
Congratulations on your great score !! I am planning to appear for this exam but could not find any ready to use books as per the exam objectives. Please can you let me know which books did you refer, which topics did you concentrate on, how did you go about the preparation. Any pointers would be useful.
Thanks in advance.

It took me exactly 3 months (including my office work) to complete the preparation for J2EE 6.0 exam.
I studied the Head First Second Edition book 2 times and practiced all the topics from the HF. After complete study of HF, started reading the Servlet 3.0 specs which took me around a month to completely understand all the new topics and practice them, then had also read the error handling topics from the JSP specification and finally took the Enthuware mock exam
I had skipped "Understand the role of AJAX-style client side programming" topic, but luckily I didn't get any question on it. With respect to JPA and JDBC, you just need to have an idea how it works and need to know what is the difference between the two.
My Suggestion would be
1. Practice all the topics on notepad without using any IDE. It helps a lot to remember the names.
2. Don't ignore new topics added in Servlet 3.0 praactice them as well.
3. Enthuware mock exams are very good. In the last mock exam I got 84% which is somewhere close to my actual score 92%
Go for the real exam only if you are confident with your preparation, because in the real exam some questions are real brainers.
Once again thanks a lot and good luck for preparation

hi,
I'm planning to appear on this exam too. But when I check on Oracle website the price is now $300?? before it was $125. Is Oracle trying to stop people from getting their certificate this way?

Sorry Gigi for the late reply. I had stopped watching this thread...Let me know if I can help you.. With respect to the question, I would suggest that practice the new topics from Servlet 3.0 Spec, because there were many questions on it.
All the best to you...

You are right, it is showing as 300$. I bought the voucher for 125$ from an institute, which is also an Pearson Vue Testing Centre.
You can check with Pearson Vue Support team.
